Future ideas

There are a few directions I want this blog to go in, mainly in order for me to keep it updated more often. I try to put things that really strike a chord in me – music, art, photography or a provoking thought.

First, let me brag a little with some links:

1. My >> Twitch << account where you can see me play (stream) video games live

2. My >> YouTube << channel where I upload already recorded videos from the Twitch account

3. My >> Tumblr << that I currently kinda use as a portfolio

I want to keep track of the things I consume.

I want to post music I listen to more often – of course I have my playlists and YouTube favourites, but there are songs that just speak to me on the day I listen to them and I don’t need to turn back to them or quite the opposite – I listen to a song that doesn’t matter much, but it keeps haunting me in my mind months later or I start hearing it everywhere I go.

I want to keep track of the movies I watch and give my two cents about them. I am a movie maniac, so I probably won’t write about every single movie that I see, but there are some that deserve more attention than they get.

Books. I was an avid reader almost my whole life up to a point when I decided that this is a waste of time, this doesn’t contribute to my growth anymore and only keeps me in a dreamworld. But, I have been craving to return to this magical land once again, because I believe that as an artist I need to constantly absorb new information in order to push myself forward in my niche. Also, I always wanted to be that person who has read most of the classics, so I am going to start with BBC Top 100 eBooks package that I own.

The other thing that I am still unsure whether to share or not is my adventure in my relationship and sexuality, because I love reading other people’s experiences about open relationships, D/s (dominance/submission) play, bisexuality and other things that are on my mind lately. Maybe I can make someone else’s world a little brighter with writing about this, too.

Tell me what you think, if anyone reads this at all :]

Love,

Julia.

Constantly On The Move Or A Story About Wearing Too Many Hats

I really wanted to write this blog at least on a weekly basis, and although I don’t want to make excuses – I realize once again that life doesn’t always go our way.

My job became a lot more burdensome and stressful and sometimes when I get home I just stare in the blank space and then go to sleep. I really want to say how well everything in my life is going but the truth is far from that.

I have been wearing too many hats, trying to force myself in many different directions, making too many life-changing decisions and taking on too many responsibilities.

As I want to make this blog about my different interests and make it light, I will try to give you a quick update on things that have been going okay.

First, I am still drawing. Also, I found a few awesome groups on Facebook – one that gives daily topics and one that has weekly session with some U-Mazing digital artists. Just watching these blows my brains out. So, here’s a pony I drew:

Second, I managed to save quite a huge amount of my previously owned Eric Van Lustbader books filled with sizzle, because I gave them to a friend of mine who owns a bookstore, and I even managed to finish the one called “Sirens”. Mmmm, yum! Definitely recommend!

Third, my boyfriend and I are going to move in together soon(ish) and we are currently renovating the apartment, so I have been day-dreaming and devouring design magazines in order to find the best style for us both, given our very different tastes.

Fourth, I am still trying to maintain some shape different than sphere, so I have been going to my martial arts training as often as possible and I even went to a swing dance lesson.

Sadly, I haven’t had much time to devote to my favourite game – Guild Wars 2 and probably I missed the grand era finale. Having a full-time job is not the best decision for a mover and shaker like me!

Well, if you just skipped the wall of text, here are a few interesting links you might enjoy:

1. Be reminded that we live in a miraculous world :}

2. Love sprouts in the most uncommon places – a monkey taking care of a kitty will warm your heart, I promise

3. Etam Cru’s magnificent grafitti

4. Romain Laurent’s awesome gifs that make me chuckle

5. I don’t usually read articles like that, but I can mostly agree with this one – 10 types of people to avoid in your life

6. A genius who played around with London underground signs ;}

7. A truly creative way to fulfill people’s wishes ^^

Videos:

1. Learn Italian gestures with hot males, ah, the pheromones

2. A great new technique that merges hand-drawn illustrations with animation -I present you the Disney short “Paperman”

Sad, but the feels:

Elderly couple who take a photo each coming season

And a short quiz I enjoyed a lot: What fictional city do you belong to?

Well. hope you had fun! Keep going for your dreams, because the world needs what you have to offer!

A dish of sex, a pinch of sweat, a drop of intrigue…

…and a spoon of violence.

When I was little my parents divorced, so for some reason my father left all of his books with us. As I was always a dreamy and kind of gentle kid deep in my heart I loved reading ordinary girly books and classics. I would always think that my father’s books were too violent and repulsive – full of blood, murder, dirty money and mafia stories. However, one day I decided to give them a chance since they would just lay around – I was determined that either I was going to like them and use them or get rid of them, so that I can use the space accordingly for my own book collections.

I grabbed the first one that caught my attention, being a fan of Japanese culture the title was simply “The Ninja” by Eric Van Lustbader.

I read the first page and (without a causal relation) went to the bathroom. Well, what can I say? This was my last break away from the book until I finished it in one sitting. The author’s magnificent way of expressing and pulling you into the atmosphere is astonishing. I am no good with book reviews but as far as my abilities go to describe this book I can only say that at one point I remember that I even could smell what was being described – it is so permeating that it takes your breath away. Even if you are not so easily enticed (as I rarely read fiction anymore) you are going to be on one hell of a ride which I highly recommend.

Now, I am reading another of his great books called Sirens. I bought it really cheap at the seaside for about 4$ or so from a box with old and tattered books and I don’t know why but I have been reading it on and off, maybe because I can’t bear the awesomeness. As I have read the other translated in my native language, I was even more amazed to find how great his books were in English. I was searching for his collections in libraries and bookstores but they gave a price I couldn’t afford at the time. But now, all of a sudden, I am determined to collect and read all of them. So, if you ever encounter one of his books (especially earlier ones, because I haven’t read newer ones), just buy them or if you love me that much give it to me and you will make me a happy person.

I have always hated the type of childish questions like “What is your favourite song/band/book/actor?”, because I could never choose just one. But this…. This could definitely roll out into an obsession.

First Step In The Madness Realm!

Hello!

My name is Julia.

This is my creative outlet in order to remain sane. I have always been a curious soul – one that longs to see, smell, hear and experience everything. I could never choose just one vocation, one life, one way of thinking because I am constantly searching for a new perspective and a new thrill.

I blog/share because I hope that this will serve at least one person in some way whether to inspire, dream, amuse, entertain or inform. Sometimes people need just a little touch on the forehead for someone they like to nudge them on the path they were longing to take. Some blogs have done that for me and I hope that I can pay this forward.

I am going to lead you through all of my interests – one at a time. Sometimes I will remain focused on something that caught my attention for a day and sometimes I would become obsessed for weeks.

Few recurring themes will probably be food & health; sport & adventure; art & creativity; games; books & movies; business and/or marketing; spirituality; martial arts; leisure time activities.

I will try to make it as easy as possible for you to discover the theme that you are interested in, but I still hope you will get lost in my mad little world and enjoy the ride.

From this blog I want to connect with people who are also excited about life, who like adventures, who like to think out of the box and go for their dreams. This is an ambitious list of qualities, so even if you don’t match all or don’t feel secure that you match the description – don’t be afraid to reach out and connect.

If this blog turns out to be successful and someone reads it at all, I imagine that by the end of the year I would have found a way to engage with these readers, I want to read people’s comments, I want to make new friends, I want to know that there are people excited by (some of) the things I am. Also, it would be great if I manage to update this blog at least once a week, if not more.

Thank you for being here!

Julia
